Camping is once again available on Friday and Saturday night at the group camp sites (301-302 only, which are the first 2 sites in the group camping area) within Rockwood Conservation Area. Camping rates are $42 per vehicle per night and also includes park admission for the day.
Please pay the Conservation Area at the gate when you enter. No need to pre-book if you will be staying at the group camp site. If you prefer to book a normal campsite you can do that through the call centre or online.
Wood for the camp fire will be provided. If you plan on bringing your own wood, please refer to the GRCA web site here for more information. Make sure the wood you bring is not from an infested/quarantined area. Wood can also be purchased from the gatehouse.
The group camp sites have water available. The water is municipally treated and safe to drink. There are no electrical outlets at the group camp sites.
Each year camping is a lot of fun.
As usual, the camping will be listed as a separate geocaching event. People attending either Friday or Saturday night may log the camping event on geocaching.com. The camping event is hosted by Heather (Eolh).
